Infrared Heater in a 9 ft height Ceiling ?

I am looking to add some heat to my attached garage. I just got done insulating the walls & ceiling with R19. I live in Upstate NY so it gets cold in the winter around here. My question is 9 ft ceiling to low for an infrared heater or should I go with a Force air unit. I do a lot of grinding so I like to open the doors to let out the dust but it gets cold. The house is setup with propane so that would be the fuel.

I too am in the market for a Infrared heater and through all my searching I noticed Spaceray advertises mounting heights for their residential garage units as low as 6ft. Seems like most others are 10 ft. and up
