Does anyone know how IR oiless compressors work how does the crank bearing not seize up or the cylinder walls? They look just like the oil models but it says oiless on the control box and there is no oil plugs.

Many oil-less compressors use graphite rings which self-lubricate the cylinder walls.

It could also have a sealed needle bearing.

The outer race could be split in two halves. But as stated above, it's probably a sintered bearing material that is porous and is saturated with lubricant.how would you put it together around the crank?

My guess is a standard rolling element bearing. Crank is an assembled/split design. I don't think there is a bronze made that could take the load and speed combination. My other guess is expensive. Oilless is for dentists offices and probably medical/surgical applications.

Roller bearings on the crank big end and little end of the rod. Then Teflon rings on the piston.
