The MG31 is the power champ and it also has a anvil brake which is nice, on the other hand the 2115QtiMAX has better ergonomics and the controls are a little more user friendly.

The battle between the MG31 or the IR2115QTIMAX has been waged here many times before. Search the threads for 3/8 impact or each gun separately. It will come down to your personal preference as to which one feels better in your hand, has the power you like, is too noisey, the color red, etc. I had both and sold the MG31. I really like the balance, power, and feel of the IR titanium impacts but, that's just me. I would see if you could test drive each gun before making your decision. Real impacts aren't red.

With the 2115Ti, the SO had a slight torque advantage, but the "MAX" version of the 2115 is spec'd as equal to the MG31, but in reality it beats the SO by about 5-10%.

I used both before making a final decision and I chose the MG31 from my observations of both tools, The MG31 hammered less than the IR. I will admit that the air pressure In the shop I worked at was a bit higher than recommended so that may have been part of it even though at a lesser air pressure it still impresses me.
