after years of hard abuse, and several dropping, it didn't survive last weeks drop. It end up dropping right on the reverse/forward buttons.

Called a few places Locally and they want over $100 to replaced a $10 part :shocking:

Ive gotten the thing apart but cant figure out how to get the buttons out.

anyone know?

Fairly confident that they just pull out the back? Our 3/4 Ti-max at work the buttons sometimes pop out of the back, push them back in and its good for another fall.

fixed it

NO, it doesn't pull out,u need new button kit. there is little clips in the middle that push in and then it pops out. the button were actually fine. i just had to filed down the poly carbon housing since it was a little damage from the drop.

i cant believe how well this thing has treated me the last 11yrs. almost no service just Non synthetic ATF and its good to go. the internal and all the rubber o-ring are still good. Clean all the parts, silicone treated the o rings, added a bit of grease(stupid me, I've never notice the greese fitting till today), put it together and now its working like new. :thumbup:
