I have an Ingersoll-Rand 5hp 2 STAGE single phase 80 Gallon Industrial air compressor. Model # 242-5n T30 rated 175 max working pressure. 19.7 CFM. Manufactured date of 1992.
Unit was running in great shape but now blows 30amp breaker box fuses on start up after I tried adjusting the pressure switch. Could be a start capacitor? Maybe the pressure switch? I don't know? I should of left it alone to begin with. Simple fix for someone who knows about compressors.
Compressor is clean and maintained. New crank case gasket w/ fresh oil change.

Do your research on the T30 compressor before trying to low ball! I know what I have. This is not the newer china junk IR sells these days.
