Ingersoll Rand Little David Grinder

I just picked at a little david grinder for what I think is pretty cheap, less than $100, and I'm trying for as much info as I can on it. I'm looking around on google and such right now, I just figured I would post here to try to obtain all the info I can about them.

Not the best pics, should use a less cluttered back ground. What do you plan to use it for? Suspect it has a somewhat limited use unless you're an iron worker or something.

Yeah those were hastily taken pictures, I grabbed a few more today. I don't really have any plans for use right now, it does work I hooked it up to air and gave it a couple quick hits on the throttle just to check, spins freely and smoothly. I would maybe just like to clean it up and service it, possibly restore it, I just like the old industrial air tools and a little david is a pretty cool one to have.

That's what one might expect to see in a foundry for cleaning up castings. It appears to have a 3 cylinder reciprocating air motor.

The IR Little David line was introduced to compete with the CP Goliath line. Not sure when.
Motor is pretty basic to rebuild.

I've actually been searching for photos of the Ingersoll Rand "Little David" No 7 Grinder but the ones in this post aren't visible anymore. Can you upload a few more? I'm delighted (and amazed) to hear that your tool still runs after 100 years. I recently retired from IR after 39 years in engineering.

I worked for Ingersoll Rand's Power Tool group for many years but wasn't aware until recently that their earliest air tools were piston driven. I'm particularly interested in the #7 grinder because about 10 years ago I was presented with an original, to scale, assembly drawing made in 1917.
