TIA. Does anyone have the Ingersoll Rand Model 36QMAX? It will be replacing an old Aircat, similar in size. I am looking for a small, strong 1/2" drive air powered impact gun, and the IR caught my eye. I'm not interested in a bigger tool, or a battery powered tool. Thanks.

It's a nice tool in a small size but not overly powerful, it will remove most caliper brackets but not all of them. To get the small size you have to give up some power.

Thanks, I'm aware of that, having owned the Aircat. I have larger more powerful tools, I was looking for something small that packs a lot of punch for its size, and won't break the bank.

I got one, and for the money it works very smooth and handy. Nothing bad to say. As discussed, it's not a powerhouse.

You bring up a good point about power. The 36QMAX is fairly new, so reviews are far and few. The 35 has been around a while and doesn't have as much power. I guess like most people I'm looking for as much power as I can get in the size of the 36QMAX.

Apologies, I have the 35. I'd still buy it again.
