Hello, I've been watching the Board for a while, but haven't posted much. I appreciate all the help and advice available.

Recently I was able to pick up an Ingersoll Rand T10 compressor with a 60 gal tank. It runs good, but I haven't been able to find out much about it. The IR synthetic oil states it is not to be used in the T10. Can anyone provide me with info:
What type of oil should I use?
How often should the oil be changed?
Where can parts be found?
Is there a manual avaiable anywhere?
Anything else I should know about it?

Thanks.

Thanks, Charles, but I don't believe that's it. Mine is an upright, and I believe it's a single stage.

The T10 I saw a few months ago was a little horizontal job that had wheels.

Can anyone confirm that the compressor in this picture is really a 2-stage? I think it may be a single stage, as it only has one motor coming off the top and not 2, similar to other IR models?

There is one locally that I'm interested in and the guy "thinks" it's a 2 stage. I want to be sure. Thanks!

I had an 80 gallon version of that compressor. Good tank , hardware and motor, Cheap P.O.S. pump. Ingersoll put their name on these units that were whored out to the lowest bidder so they could have a price leader with their name on it. Similar units are sold by Devilbiss, Campbell- Hausfield, Porter Cable and others.

Herb, you mean this one?

Yours was a T20...at least that's what the tank says. :)

After Herb's compressor blew, I bought the tank and mounted my pump on it.

OH YEAH!!It was a T20. Well, I guess I have an iron in the fire for IR. I wouldn't even recommend one of their new T30 units, although I think they are probably a much better quality than the T10 or T20. That conversion sure looks good, though. I think you should repaint the tank Quincy blue...

Guys... I was hoping someone could confirm if the upright T-10 compressor in the picture is really a 2-stage? Any help?

The specs I posted are what I found on the web; I would assume the specs are right! Your guess is as good as mine! :(

Yes. I'm pretty sure that is a T29 pump. It's a 2 stage. You can tell 2 stage pumps by a tube/manifold that runs between the 2 internal cylinders of the pump. Yours I think is in the back between the flywheel and the pump.

That looks like a one lunger compressor head.
The compressor in this pic looks to be a single stage compressor.I only see one cylinder head,Unless there is an invisible one.I see plenty of Information labels on it.Look them over and see what you have.
