I just found out about one for sale w/a burnt motor. 80 gal. tank, says it can be wired for 240 or 3 phase. Saw a pic. & it looks like new condition. Where can I find all tec. info, & what would you price it at.

The existing motor will either be single-phase or three-phase. The standard voltage for small 3-phase shop equipment is 240V.

If the machine is set up for three-phase, the magnetic starter will probably be undersized for starting a single-phase motor.

Check the pump carefully. Induction motors are generally very reliable and often fail from overloading.

Well I bought the comp. today. $750. The comp. seems to be solid and in good shape, magnetic starter looks fine, but is 3 phase. The motor is fried, has a shot bearing. I think I made a good purchase. Now I need to locate a sizable 240 single phase motor, and look into weather the starter can handle it.I could see some spots of surface rust in the tank, but nothing threatening, and the bottom is solid. The info label on the side of the tank is undecipherable, but i can make out in fairly large numbers 02090234, maybe, not sure. I would like to know everything I can about this unit. Specs,parts,etc.... Thanks
