Hey guys I'm new to the forum and wanted to say hi.

Wanted to see what you guys thought of this compressor? I found it on sale as an open box item and got it for $250. Who has this compressor and what do you think of it?

I'll be using it for blow gun, air ratchet, air drill, airing up tires, and nail gun. Also would like to use an impact wrench.

Will it work these tools? What will be my limitations?

I would like to have a larger compressor but live in a work supplied apartment.

It'll work for intermittent use for most of that stuff but I doubt you will be very happy with the air drill. Don't expect much time with stuff like the impact gun before you have to wait on the tank to refill. The 4 gallons of air stored in the tanks is what you have for "high volume" air till you are waiting on the compressor to refill...

Would another similar air compressor work better? Or really is it just the capacity that is lacking?

Also consider the scfm rating of the pump which imo is more important than the tank capacity. That's volume the pump can put out when it is running.

For that size of compressor that's really about as good as it gets.

It's not a bad compressor at all, just be aware it's limited as to what it can do. It is better than no compressor at all, for sure. I used a similar DeWalt one to do a goodly amount of work a few years ago.

Nothing wrong with that compressor. It's mobile, light enough you can haul it around to do projects out in yard, or virtually anywhere you have 120v electric offsite, or even in boonies if you have a generator. Drawback is noisy which is because it's oil-less. However, being oil-less is benefit as you can drag it anywhere.

The DeWalt version is "go-to" compressor for lots of contractors as it runs nail guns well (2 adjustable quick-connect couplings). My brother has one that's done countless roofing jobs, house framings, siding jobs, etc.

Long-term, just keep and use the IR twinstack. Eventually, you'll end up with 2 compressors, so keep your eye peeled for belt-driven oil-splash compressor (20 gal to 80 gal) as your "ultimate" compressor when you have garage big enough for stationary compressor.

That's a Chinese "Swan" pump on that Porter Cable. We used to build up lots of gas drive units with them. They worked well.
