I have recently purchased the very attractive Matco MT2858 "PitBull" Air Ratchet. This is my initial review.
So far I have been able to remove Detroit Diesel air compressor bolts (3/8" Diameter) with an 8" extension , I was on a radiator job recently and it was the only air tool I needed! That was great but I was really impressed after using it for a clutch job. It removed all the bolts, including the shifter, clutch, and housing bolts! I didn't push the ratchet for any of it.
Its about 12" long but that hasn't inconvenienced me yet. The kick back on it is a little strong but if you brace yourself for it properly, it's not that bad. I haven't smashed my hands yet lol. The variable speed trigger has a nice feel to it and responds well.The 360º swivel exhaust is nice for jobs under the valve cover (So you don't blow the oil up into your face!). I am 100% satisfied with it, and I like the 1/4" stubby air ratchet that came with it for free aswell
The price was $389 CDN.
