My lower back on the left side hurts, I think I did it picking up the trans for my daughters ranger.

Good news though, the right side doesn't hurt now. :)

As i tell me sisters when they say "my shoulder hurts" or something like that i simply say "could be bledding out of a IED attack in iraq" and then throw em a bottle of advil an say take some an walk it off

It sounds mean but life cant stop just cause you have pain. I may have back problems but that doesnt stop me from getting out there an tossing 50 to 80 pound bales up into a hay loft, or climbing up ladders or getting under a truck to change the oil.

I just got done shingling my house. During the project a bundle of shingles fell from 18' above my head, missing my noggin by 10" but unfortunately it landed on my right wrist. Felt like a freaking sledge hammer. I now have a stress fracture which my dad (who is an eye doctor) diagnosed which of course is good enough for me. I refuse to see a medical doctor which pisses my wife off. right now Im just eating leftover tylenol w/codeine leftover from my daughters wisdom teeth pull and going onward with life. I won't go to a Dr unless Ive been knocked out and someone hauls me there. dunno why just stubborn I guess

Any time I see the doc they're like, well we'll run some blood tests and check your sugar. I'm like it's my fing knee ********, how about some pain pills...I had kidney stones and the bastards wouldn't give me more than one days supply at a time. How the hell do you actually get something to knock the pain down. I must be going to the wrong docs or have the insurance that doesn't allow proper medication...can you tell my knee and shoulder hurt like hell tonight? Too much playing catcher at baseball last night.

Once agian i may only be 19 but ile say that pain is part of life. I dont need to be 90 to know that. Ive learned to simply put it aside.

Before my grandpa passed away he would admit it hurt to climb up in a tractor but he still did he still found a way to pull himself up and then said "ime old but i got enough will power"

so its basicly up to how much you wana put up with, if you dont wana deal with the pain sit at home on your couch watching american ide stuffing your face with popcorn an hope for the best

any company with a " x number of days without a lost time injury "..........usually means just not reported out of fear of discipline or dismaissal............railroads are at the forefront of this bs..........

I beg to differ, the oilfield has this down to a science.

+1 good lord, getting old is for the birds.
It beats the alternative though... :bounce:

I've got a bad back (2 surgeries), tennis elbow in both arms and bad knees.

You'll usually find me in the garage after work, building my FFR, working on my wife's Marlin or doing general maintenance on one of the other cars. Advil and aspirin make life livable.

somethings wrong with my right ankle ,no since in going to the doctor though they'll just tell me its from getting in and out of heavy equipment and to stay off it, my right lower back is always hurting me also from operating equipment , it just comes with it i guess

nolatoolguy I only wish when I was 19 I could have been lucky enough to get to through around 50-80 pound bales, I had to throw around 120 pound 3 wire bales

dont forget the farming industry

most of my buddies are only 20 and arleady beat up an scared. By time people make 70 they look like they been through a war and then some. but they dont stop even know there in pain

alot of times if its a family owned farm they may not have insurance they may not be able to take time off and "keep the foot elivated" because they have to work no matter what

Nice to know i'm not alone when it comes to aches and pains. My left knee hurts when i sit still for too long....solution keep moving and working. I want to slap people who want sympathy when they say they hurt themselves and can't do whatever it is.

I replaced the front end of my car and painted it while in a body cast for a broken neck. That was 35 years ago. Sure, it took a lot of extra time, but I had 3 months to kill!

I've been working with a dislocated replacement shoulder for the last year and a half and my other shoulder is starting to show symptoms of a torn rotator cuff or arthritis like my other shoulder had. They can't fix the one right and I'm sure as hell not going to let them operate on the other. So it's put up with the pain daily and go to work and try to concentrate on something else. I've basically had pain all my life from either a bad back, fractured knees or some other type of injury. You pretty much learn just to **** it up and go on.

Yeah I put my teeth through my lower below the lip. That pain was annoying. Also broke both legs several times, once with 30 breaks, the right femur was in 9 places, ankles have the cartilage smashed right out/gone. 9 broken vertibrae between shoulder blades and at base of back, broke my scapula, shoulder, both arms a couple times, several ribs, hmmmm, I think thats it. Oh, my nose too. My doctor calls me super man and my surgeons a walking miracle. It hurts, but I still give her hell everyday.
