very nice! I think that a you **** is in order! How much did you pay for it? Does it have 3 and 1/2" jaws?

I wouldn't even bother with putting that one in the ****** tank. There's so little rust, I'd just blast or wire wheel it and get some new paint on her.

no where close to a YOU ****, vise was $50, even though it weight like 45-47 lbs is my guess

the swivel base has more rust on it, so for sure that will go in the electrolysis

Nice find. You'll enjoy using it. I just did a 433-1/2

Another piece of "functional art"... beautiful!

I have that exact vise on a mobile stand in my shop... It is my favorite vise... I really like how the jaws are sloped away from the workpiece. Makes it sou you can clamp closer to the actual work.

it came out better than i thought it would

what amazes me is how the handle can get so beat up on some of these vises

Old post so Im sure it no longer looks quite this nice anymore but very nice job on it for sure.
I have a question?
What are the specs on these 973 1/2 vises? Can't find out how tall they are or length while open/closed either?
Thanks
