Inline Lubricator Question

Can I try?

Is there any reason why a 90° elbow should not be mounted between an air tool and an inline lubricator/mini oiler?

I have a bench-mounted air tool that requires an inline lubricator. I would like to make this change. It's not necessary that I do, but it would make for a cleaner installation.

Thanks.

In theory, as the air stream makes that 90° bend, the suspended oil droplets will hit the wall of the elbow due to their inertia.

But in reality, the oil will still make it to the tool regardless. It should be ok; I'd run it.

Oil works its way through an air tool even if you drip liquid right into the inlet.
Yes, if you put the elbow in, it may coalesce a little, and be less effective as an oil fog, but it will still work just fine. I would expect an elbow to have about the same effect as placing the oiler several feet further from the tool.
