inline oiler

I bought some inline oilers for Pneumatic tools. But the problem I am having is that I can not see any arrow indicating the direction of flow. So I was wondering if there is a right way and a wrong way to install this inline oiler. I installed it on my pneumatic gun and in a couple of shots the container emptied.

So I am wondering if I installed it in the wrong direction or if these things are a piece of ****. If there are any tricks that I should know, I would be very appreciative.

I have the Porter cable brand, and there is no adjustment for the distribution of oil.

If I may suggest, turn the oiler around and see what happens. If you can link to the oiler you have then an informed decision may be forthcoming. I'm sure that PC makes more than one oiler and I'm not about to search them out and them try and guess which one you may be using. Also what tool are you using this on?

I just put a little oil in the tool before easy use of the day. Been doing this for decades with no problem. Once you put an oiler on your lines painting, and bead blasting can not be done Without using different lines.
