Inner City Garage w/VCT

I managed to squeeze in this 2-plus car garage into an old inner city Seattle Craftsman home with a VCT floor.

I just wish it was still this clean and clear

That is a very clean M3. Floor looks good. Show us a pic of what it looks like now. Curious to see how these look without constant maintenance.

For a light duty garages VCT would be very low maintenance, but dragging engine stands/hoists across it and actually using it as a working garage does scuff up the wax finish. The only problems I've had were when my kid had his Mustang in doing a very sloppy oil change. I cleaned up with Oil Eater and it also took up the floor wax.:tard: The other issue was lowering the car with super soft tires it peeled up one of the tiles. But this is one of the main reasons I went with VCT, that it has quick and easy repairability. Less then 10 minutes and a new tile is replaced.

Oh that thread, where armstrong said it doesn't meet fire standards and can't be used in garage.

My neighbor might be doing this. I tried to convince him to go with tile, but no go. Only thing is, that he really doesn't do anything in garage at all. So it will work for him.

YUP that's the one. All products have risks associated with them, as long as your neighbor knows what he is getting himself into he should be in good shape

I spent 10 years in the Marine Corps and spent my fair share of time embarked on Navy ships of various types. I will say they all had steel decking and CVT tiles. If it was good enough for 2500 Marines dragging their equipment on it for months/years, then it's good enough for me. Didn't see any RaceDeck "Type" tiles though... Hmmm....

Please if you can snap a pic of your floor for my neighbor. He is dying to copy you, and wants to see how they wear. I think they wear fine, as I expect, he is just concerned they are taring or something. Thanks.
