Inner tie rod tool

Hello. I'm Bogdan from Romania I work on cars as a hobby. My question for you guys will be what do you use on round tie rods. I bought a tool but its not very sturdy and the teeth started to strip after 3 sets oof tie rods changed. I need a tool that can be used from the wheel arch because I work in the street.
Could you recomand something or post what you have. I don't really have snap on money so the price should be about 60$ including postage as I don't think I can soorce this locally.
Amazon.co.uk would be great.

Been using that to good effect , im not a garage but ive split 4 inner tie rods off with that now , does the trick.

I wouldnt stick the impact driver on it though.

There's a good bit of stuff you can't get at like that. I'd just use an 18" pipe wrench if I could... and I have plenty of times, it's usually easier than busting out the tube tool, finding the right insert, and using it.

I was going to recommend the Mayhew universal one, but the one top drive posted looks like a cheaper Chinsese copy. That Mayhew would probably cost a mint over there.

I've seen a rare few without any flats. Luckily they've all been ones I can get a pipe wrench onto... so far. The factory probably gets them either as short racks with inners already installed, or long racks with both tie rod ends on them.

I've seen them on Opel corsa and Peugeot 307 probably other manufacturers from Europe too. The problem is that even aftermarket ones are like that.

But someone out there has to tighten one on a center link, or onto a hub, or vice versa. Maybe machines just grab it and go for it lol

I do a lot of front end work and have tried several inner tie rod tools. I use a monkey wrench.

That tools works like a charm and only runs about $18 shipped in the US.

yes frenchies garages seem to think that if my inner tie rods are worn ill replace the whole rack"the are not servicable items sir"

Hence why i have this tool.

whipped it off , down dingbro - gimmie one like that.

pattern part - put it back on , voila vibration gone. stick yer 600 quid+labour steering rack up yer hoop peugeot.

also if you can get a pipe wrench in on a euro car to remove it - you have the bigger issue of your engine being out already.

You can ask them if it isn't serviceable, why do they sell inner tie rods separately?
