So work is going really good right now and I wanna splurge just a little bit. When Walmart did there big reset recently, they now carry innova obd2 scanners. The one I have my eye on is around $100 and seems to do everything but SRS systems. Abs, codes, detail of code, freeze frame and live info of systems etc. I can't find the exact one on the website to show the link. But what do tiu guys think? Usually when things are too good to be true they are. This seems like a great deal considering my basic code reader cost $40, on sale. And it doesn't give any info. You have to look up what the code means.

Consensus?

The Innova is a great scanner, one of the fastest and easiest to use.

I have one for sale in the classifieds in here, if you want a link let me know.

I used my Innova 3140 for OBD1 and 2 in tandem with a Lauch CRP123 for ABS and SRS, together they pretty much do everything.

I have a Snap On Modus with a scope,an OTC 3311, and an old Innova. The Innova is the fastest for just retrieving codes. Their are some cars that the OTC won't communicate with but the Innova will

Innova s scanners are ****. Had mine for over a year obd1 AND 2 maybe used it a hand full of times. Took batteries out when not in use now it won't quit turning on and off. Won't get past the main start up screen. Outside the one year warranty. Paid them 85 dollars to ship it in for repair only to be told I needed to buy a new one. Now I'm out over three hundred dollars. Ill just buy the mentor from my mac man.

I Bought a launch cpr129 from launch and ill tell you what for a sub 250 scanner it does everything but bi-directional. The thing surprises me every time I hook it up to a new car. Thought I had a hydraulic timing chain tensioner in a maxima gle, hooked up the launch and watched the ingnition advance and bang all the data i need. It reads over 240 data points on my 2000 f150. I dont think you can bleed abs with it though. It is the only disapointment i have had with it. At least it wouldnt on a 98 chevy k1500.

There are some Chrysler products and Mitsubishis that use a special OBD II adaptor. It is a weird plug set up that uses two OBD II connectors.Vetronix used this set up before Bosch bought them out in 2003.
