It's not a fake. I remember an article about it a few years ago. Had several pictures from different angles and from the underside.

I knew it was old, but I had never seen it before... From what I understand, it is fake. It was sent to me by an employee at Pixar and those folks seem to think it's a good example of CGI.

I'll try to confirm.

Not a fake. The company that makes those lifts was recently linked in a GJ thread.

Subcontractor for:

And they're not the only company doing it, apparently.

If I had the kind of money it takes to get one of those installed, I think it'd make me crazy how slow they are.

I don't know why anyone would think it is fake. They have those types of parking garages all over the place here in Japan. They go 4 or 5 high on some of them.

As previous posters have said, the product is very real.

A guy I know is having one fitted in the property he is developing round the corner from where I work.
When it's done, I'll try & shoot some photos/video.

Well, if it's Pixar, they sure did a good job of making the film quality crappy-looking.
Impressive for sure. Likely, several times the cost of the home just in cars! I'd hate his insurance bills!

The question is not if the lift is real, but why a guy with 5 Lambos is living in such a crappy house! Redefines the term "car poor"...haha.

The first one posted lowered down to an underground shop. I'm sure the others have sump pumps and gutter chanels around the outer rim. With the ammount of money involved, I'm sure they have plenty of safety backups.

I"m actually quite curious to know what kind of system is being used. I wouldnt trust a Lambo with a sump pump thats for sure.

Anyone haver any ideas, or ways of finding out?

Is anyone else wondering why a dude with 4 lambos has such a piece of **** for a house? The Phantom lift alone must be close to the cost of that house.

For those of you wondering why the house looks 'so crappy', did you realize that he's in England?

That house is probably a couple hundred years old! It's worth MUCH MORE over there than a comparable house would here in North America (if you could find a comparable house here!).

One of the video's mentioned above references 'RH Drive' for one of his Lambo's (1 of 3 made).

I've worked with Pflow for many years and they completed a beast of a lift for an underground garage in Lake Tahoe. I completed a six level Vertical Reciprocating Conveyor in VA with Pflow for Bayside Harley that transports Harleys to the different levels of this dealer's showcase tower!

Here's the lift for the underground garage:

I believe it's 1930s, but in Essex, where that property is located, it's unlikely to be worth less than $800k.

I can't really see that it's 'crappy' by any definition, but acquiring property with land in the London commuter belt is impossibly expensive, even by Lambo. owner budgets.

Several videos here
