I’ve heard that all the locking impacts are AJ-sourced across MAC and Matco. Could be the same for the chrome ones too. Snappy, maybe, but I would be surprised since they have a bunch of manufacturing facilities.
I’d like to say that dealing with tool trucks is like any other business…you have winners and losers. My Matco corporate experience hasn’t been good but my local rep has been great. My MAC corporate experience has been fantastic but my local reps are rough. It’s all about timing and stuff. Matco has some pretty good stuff and some pretty bad stuff, no different from Snappy and MAC. You have to decide what works for you and what chances you want to take, especially if you do not have a truck.
