Hello,

I am planning on lining the inside of my building with metal, and was wondering if anyone could point me in a direction with some plans.

The building is 40x64x14 sidewalls.

I got a price from the guys putting up the building and it was about $11,500 for materials (including insulation) and $2,500 labor. Total $14,000

I went to Menards and was at about $5,500 for everything I think I will need.

Just want to make sure I'm not missing something.

Need more info. What does the inside of the building look like? What kind of insulation? What profile and gauge for the metal. Trim for the metal?

I just figured the metal alone at $5,200. 29 ga classic rib. I sell metal. Don't know what the insulation will run. With that low of a labor number they must be paying to have the insulation installed. That labor number would scare me. It seems low but I don't know how much work is in the inside. Windows, doors, electrical box's etc.

The building is a standard pole barn. 6-3x4 windows, 2 walk doors, 2 overhead doors 12x12 and 20x12.

r-19 walls/r-30 blown in ceiling.

I may be figuring wrong, but I came up with 67-14' sheets for the walls and 43-20' for the ceiling. Each covering 3' width.

They said $1 per square floor footage for labor. $2560 to be exact.

Maybe the builders included 2x4's for the walls to hang insulation/paneling on?
