Hi im new to the board and wanyed some general input on inspection cameras. People seemto hardly review them online so its hard to get a general idea of how good the tool is. My main concern is the focal point of the camera and viewing in dark spaces. There is pretty much a standard lineup of 17mm and 9mm cameras. Most of the 9mm seem to have a focal point of 2"; do the 17mm cameras have longerviewing depth because of the wider lens?
At this point im trying to see if theres any input on any of the models I can buy locally under $200 which are: ryobi tek4, ridgid ca25, harbor freight HD, milwaukee mspector 360. Right now the Milwaukee is in my lead because the screen is bigger, li ion batteries, and 9mm scope. I dont really care abour recording features as I do about actually seeing yhings clearly n far through scope.

ill amit i tried 2 scopes, one was a dewalt, the other is an inexpensive usb camera that plugs into your computer. both of them seem to be about the same. in dark spaces you really cant get enough light to see more than about 6 inches anyways, and when you can, i cant figure out what im looking at anyways.

I've only used my Milwaukee with the 17mm head. Not thrilled about the head size but price was right. It's certainly been useful for me for all sorts of misc things. It IS nice to be able to take photos to an SD card and pull them up or email them to show others. Beyond that I'm no help. It was more of a "what the hell I'm sure I'll use it" purchase than a "I must have it for my profession" purchase.
