Looking for inspiration on building a set of nested platforms that I can use when working on my truck and around the garage and house. Since I use crutches and have limited mobility there is rise limits and tread width requirements.

I’m thinking 6” for rise and 18-24” for each tread depth.
Thinking about 18” overall in height. I have a pair of 20” gorilla platforms that I can use if need more height.

The length 36” -48”.

The other requirement is that it must be VERY stable for lateral movement. Sometimes I may have to go up/done sideways depending on my strength for that day.

How about buying one of those hydraulic table lifts and putting a plywood deck on it for traction. Get air/hydraulic so you can control it when you're on it. You'd have to block the wheels once you had it where you need it. Just an idea.

Well convert the table [2oolhounds suggestion] to floor locks and then an Air over Hydraulic power unit. Locking casters to stand on would be scary enough for us older guys and our less than 20 Year old mobility, add other complications and floor locks will be a must have for a solid footing. Harry

Was already looking at the floor locks. I’ll to think about hydro pack. Never done anything like it. Looks like an air compressor is required. I have one of them, so that’s taken care of. I’ll look at the ‘Tube and see about them and how to install.
