When I bought my new (to me) house I decided that I would make the garage the way I wanted it... that included (after hours of reading) a porcelain floor. Overall, I wanted something that looked good, was functional, and was a decent place to spend time (I spend a fair amount of time working on my car).

New slatboard, paint, (4) 4' LED lights, new DalTile flooring, and a soon to be added side mount garage door opener and a mid-rise lift will complete this one...

Thanks for the inspiration. This is Dal-Tile 12X12 porcelain in Asian Black with graphite grout.

Very cool digs!
It sure is coming along.
Now for the big question...if you can afford to make the garage the way you want it, we can only hope you can afford to park something in it worthy of the overall design.
Tell us you do not want to park a Yugo, Aztek, or Edsel in the space?! :dunno:

Thanks everyone - I'm pretty happy with it! At the end of this month I'll be ordering my 2 post lift (mid-rise). As far as what will live in there.....

1999 911 C2 with a 3.4l to 3.8l conversion, solid end suspension, and a bunch of other go-fast bits.

As a follow up.... I’ve had a few major drops of some pretty heavy items - one chip so far but no cracks. When I say heavy - one of the arms from the lift slipped off the bench when I was installing it. I’m shocked it didn’t crack the tile... either way - happy with the floor and the lift.

Hi BlueChip. I looked up your tile, it states that it is textured. Do you find it to be slippery when wet? Or is the texture a rough texture, like sand paper?
Thanks in advance for your response.

I know that the “grip” or whatever the rating used is as high as I could find. It’s not like sandpaper at all - it’s definitely textured though and not slick at all. Like, not even a little.
