Looking for the general installation manuals for both... purchased 2nd hand and desire to have the manuals to assist me with setting them up.

Can you suggest a source or when i might look? I appreciate your help! Scott

I can't help much other than most brands are easy to find the installation manuals, but Trane is not, I was told they do not sell Trane to general public, only through their dealer network, so that may be why you can't find it, but I'm no HVAC pro...FWIW. ran into that when a buddy was in the same situation trying to install a used unit...

I just called up Ruud to get some manuals including their Weather King line. I could not get the HVAC number offline so I called the water heater number and they transferred me. I needed 3 manuals and they were in my email before I hung up the phone. Maybe try giving them a call.

Since you have used units, it will involve getting all the info in setting up the units on your own which include running power, gas line, copper line set, thermostat and control wiring, condensate lines and return/supply plenums and ductwork. Then once set up, you will need to perform the start up and be able to test all functions. What if it does not work as advertised? You need to be ready to troubleshoot and replace components.
Will you be able to handle all of the above?

All of the installation manuals are probably pretty similar in a generic sense. Most HVAC systems have relatively similar parts and functions, and safety warnings would be similar.

Download a couple of competitive manuals and go from there. This stuff isn't rocket science, and you aren't designing new equipment. You're simply installing what has already been engineered.

To Finn - based on the lack of availability kinda figured the same thing... found some "similar" models - diff years and are looking at them now.

To Bazar01 - as this is for a garage shop, i've already set the furnace off the floor 18" - run the gas line and working on the connection to the furnace. Thermostat and wire purchased... plenum and return added to the furnace - need to run a small amount of duct work... yes, i can do all this. Desire was to have the manufacture's documentation so if and when i need to troubleshoot something i will be in position to do that.

i appreciate everyone's input and feedback - thanks! :)

I have heard (but can't say this is 100% fact) that Trane won't sell parts and manuals to the general public....licensed installers only. That's a key reason I will install something other than Trane in my new house when I get it built. Trane is a great product but they are hard and expensive to get parts and information on from what I have been told.

Good to know you can diy all of those requirements.
If you can do all these, you should be good to go.
A generic furnace and ac cooling manual will be sufficient for install and start up.
For troubleshooting, you may need the fault codes for the specific furnace.
In the absence of these codes, there may be hvac contractors here willing to help.

The Trane website is notoriously difficult for finding information, but I came across this: http://www.trane.com/commercial/uploads/pdf/1112/tux_c.pdf It's for a TUX060C936D, which I assume is a newer version of your furnace, but it may be of use. I'd suggest calling your local Trane distributor and asking them. It appears to be from the commercial line, so a residential HVAC dealer may not be able to find the info.

There's a spec sheet for the Ducane unit here: http://homeappliance.manualsonline.com/manuals/mfg/ducane_hvac/2ac13.html?p=1

I will second what toyotadriver said about the expense and cost of Trane replacement parts. My parents had a Trane furnace that required a 150.00 OEM gas valve and a 200.00 OEM blower motor. That was at wholesale cost and it took several days for me to get the parts.
