Finally got around to installing my Bendpak HD-9ST. 2 friends came over to help and we got it set up in record time (3 hours). The HD-9 sits in one bay and a Bendpak XPR-9F sits in the other. My garage serves as workplace and storage place (especially in winter)

Miata is happy to be in out of the cold. Miata is known as "Black Lightening" and the Sonett is "Yellow Thunder". Posts on the XPR-9F dwarf those on the HD-9

Nice!

I've been looking at the XPR-9F for my garage. Anything you don't like about it?

Nope, it has served me well. I have lifted the Sonett, Miata, Mini Cooper, Saab 9-5, and Chevy K1500. I have the frame rail pads which are a must for a safely lifting a pickup (on this and other lifts). I have the space to move things from front to back by going around the column, so I am not bothered by the floor plate.

thanks for the info. I'm not too concerned with the floor plate, either. It may be in the way on occasion, but that would be rare in my case and I also have room to go around the posts if need be.

now, to decide on flooring before a lift goes in.........

Holy **** darkk, I also have the XTW, but yours looks soooooo long - must be the angle! Looks like you can park a bus on there!!

Congrats on the lift saabman - you can never have too many!

Saabman, Looks great! 3 hours is pretty quick. Longest part for me was figuring out and excecuting the air filter/regulator setup to be all neat and tidy. Its nice to have Mcmaster Carr right up the street.

The XW model sure does dwarf the ST. Wish I had the space for a couple of those!

I have not had a chance to work on a car on the HD-9 yet. It is going to serve tripple duty 1) storage 2) work platform 3) dyno platform (in the third picture you can see the raised frame of my chassis dyno, the lift now sits right in front of it.

My plan for max utility is to mount a second hose reel on the ceiling between the two lifts. I will also be mounting an electrical cord reel there too. My large tool box (56 Extreme) is next to the HD-9 so it will be pretty convienient to access directly from the box. I have a rolling cart that serves me well on the XPR-9F.

One of the friends that helped, bought an HD-9 at the same time I did and he had already installed his. So he was very familiar with the setup.

I installed a HD14XTLW special order lift- 273" extra long and extra tall lift with 2 RJ 7 jacks. Lift is plenty long to use the 2 jacks. Love the long lift! Runways are 7" tall.
