Dear GJ guys and gals,

I recently bought a new house and have a rather large 1000+ square foot shop for our hobby. (we are car guys thru and thru) -- Today my business partner and I got our Bendpak 7W installed and I have some pictures to share with you. I don't have the full evaluation yet, there are some things that i LOVE about BendPak, the quality and the safety, and there are some things that I didn't like so much (scratches on the decking when received from delivery). But overall I give it a A.

I will do a longer writeup on the project later, it's very late and I have to get to work tomorrow. here are a few pictures as a tease.

I hope this works, it's a link to the photo album on flikr.http://www.flickr.com/photos/33994300@N05/sets/72157637927517296/

From the pics, it looks like you guys went a round-about way of assembling it.
Anyway, looks like ya got'er done. Nice lift, you guys will enjoy it.

And nice Camaro. (that's high praise coming from a mustang guy)

I have a 4-post lift as well, don't know how I lived without it. Also bought the pneumatic bridge jack. Mostly use it for detailing and storage.

Thanks guys. We actually paid a certified Bendpak dealer to do the install. I was very pleased with the work.

Nice lift but I would have moved it forward slightly, yes I see the man door. By the looks, you can't lower the lift with the garage door closed unless you remove the ramps.

Billy. I did that on purpose. But perhaps I will regret it. I got extra long ramps and didn't want to lose 14 more inches of working garage space. Goes down almost all the way. Just about 2 feet off floor. The installer suggested I hinge ramps and reduce to 1/2 length so I might try that. Then they would flip over and lay on ground perfectly

Ok we have it up and running and my race car is on the lift.
Tonight my son said that he needed to do some work on his Jeep
and I said "Gee, i wonder if it will fit?" So we tried. He has a fullsize
1991 Jeep Cherokee with a 4.5 inch lift on 31 inch tires and above
mount lights. DROVE UNDER WITH NO PROBLEMS. We can actually
jack the jeep up 8 inches before anything touches the lift
(the lights fit nicely between the runners).

Also, i have the sissor jack -- LOVE IT. AWESOME PRODUCT.

BENDPACK, YOU HAVE OUTDONE YOURSELF.

here's a picture from tonight.

Nice job but.. is that lift really that narrow or you didnt drive the car on it right...tires hanging off the edge

Yeah, i pushed it on at an angle (starter is out of the car) -- and I missed by about 1 inch. It's LESS than it looks -- and those back tires are 275 racing tires and they are fat -- yeah, i won't do that again -- especially once I get it running again with a new starter.

I am considering this exact lift (HD-7W). I have a Chevy Silverado with extended cab. All of my buddies seem to have similar vehicles, either extended cabs or Crew cabs. Do these type of trucks fit OK on the HD-7W? I am worried about the runways being a little too short. Are you putting pickup trucks on this lift OK???

Many thanks, Dave F. in RI
