Holy ****. I've never seen trusses like those before. Do those have a special name or not? What is the advantage (if any) do those have? From the looks of things they must be stronger, and as a result you don't need as many. That would explain the wide spacing between them. What kind of snow load can they handle?

BTW, i'm jealous too.

MX-10AC Lift

It cost me $2,275 and that included shipping, list price is $3,320. For people on the west coast, I got this lift from a guy named Bob at RB WholeSale, 805-583-2100
I paid a guy $500 to bring it to my house and install it, Bob set me up with him. I ran the power myself, it requires a 25 amp breaker.

79rallysport:
I don't know anything about the trusses. I bought this house for the garage that was already there. I assume that they have to be of that design because they run for 30 feet and they only span between each garage bay at 12 feet. My garage is 48 feet wide and 30 foot deep. It appears to be a standard 'poll' building. I live around the Seattle area with an altitude of about 120 feet or so, the Pacific ocean is just a few blocks away (no views) so I don't think that there is much of a snow load on this roof. We just don't get much here.

Here is my 2005 F150 on the lift, found out that the exhaust from my 4.2L V6 goes into 2 cats. then they join into a single exhaust. So putting dual exhaust on it will be easy!!! Had a clear 6' of walking space under the truck too!

I think that the slab is 3/4" thick....

LOL No its just over 4". You have to have 4 inches minimum for the 10K lift. 15K lifts require 6" slabs.

Does anybody know of any lifts that can lift about 7 feet instead of 6 feet? 6FT would be too low for me. I'd get a crick in my back from bending over, or a lump on the head from not paying attention.

Yeah I think the 6 foot range is about it... I also hit my head a bit.

Get a cement saw and cut a trench down the middle of your bay, make it a foot deaper. ;)

If you've got the clearence under your car/truck, you can get 6.5' out of the BendPac two post with their 6" extensions.

There is a Pole Barn outfit by me that uses that type truss. I was sorry to havew a different vendor raise my pole barn and they used the typical 24 on center rafters which makes for alot of wasted space. I have a backyard buddy 4 post lift in that garage. I also have a semi commercial building on another property that I have a two post lift in. Wish it was asymetrical like your's sounds.
