Installed RaceDeck Free Flow tonight!

Came home from work to my tiles on the doorstep, could not wait to get them down!

I went with black bordered by 3x2 red/white to mock the wide F1 track curbing at Monza.

Its hard to get good pics of a black floor at night, but here's a few.

RaceDeck, you are the best. This was easy and just awesome. I'd do it again in a second!

My garage is 22 deep by 30 wide so 660 tiles.

Here's a few during the install and one looking the other direction. Still need to cut and trim.

I tried 2x2, 3x2, and 4x2 for the race track rumble strip look but landed on 3x2 as the most realistic looking.

Washed on the floor for the first time tonight - awesome!

Not slippery at all. I even used the foaming sprayer and tons of soap with no issues at all.

I used to be mostly Zymol then made the switch to just about 100% Griots right now, been very happy their stuff.

Requin, no drain. Just went out the front. One small area barely pooled but I use a 200MPH gas blower to dry the car so I just hit it for a sec and it was dry.

What happens to debris like dirt or road grime? Does it get down in the grooves? I live in Ohio and in the winter alot of crud comes off the cars when you wash them (small fine rocks, etc.). It seems the crud would get down in the grooves and you'd have to lift the tiles to clean under it. Am I wrong?

I have the hoover garage utility vac. Super powerful. I cut the other tiles after the floor was down and the vac picked up all the debris (from a table saw and 50 cut tiles) in 2 seconds. Most of it was in the tiles down to the floor. Piece of cake. Pics of the finished cut areas to come tomorrow.

Here's a shot of the step and sides covered (with some rubber molding). We made a backsplash too to complete the look. The construction glue should dry clear.

Now I just need some kind of around the garage molding, fancier lighting, and a 911 Turbo and I'll be done.

Up close you do see through the free flow (or when looking at a small section like we are here), but its not overly apparent. I have relief cuts in the concrete and you don't see those unless you are really looking for them right on.

These tiles are awesome!

Where did you get that rubber molding and how did you get that and the tiles to stay in place? I have Racedeck on my floor and now I am interested in doing that! Thanks!

We used the strongest clear construction glue/epoxy (made for both plastics and cement) that I could find. The molding was two 36 inch pieces. Got both at Home Depot, they are made for patio doorways. The glue was $10 and the moldings were $3.00 each.

The hardest part was cutting the tiles so it all lined up properly.

The backspalsh is wedged between the wood molding and tiles on the step so that helps too. Thats the only place in the garage I didn't leave room for tile expansion.

That is an awesome idea! I never would have thought of it. I'm planning on getting a quote to do my garage in free flow tiles and I'm for sure going to order extra to do my steps.

Now that almost 2 weeks have gone by I've had a chance to really live with the free flow....I really love it.

This weekend spent 7 hours detailing. So nice to be able to just sit on the floor as opposed to concrete. Was dry with no issues right after washing on it. Especially good while claying the winter out of the rockers.
