installing a regulator/water separator combo

I'm in the process of installing this combo in my copper piping set up but I came to a screeching halt. I was wondering how you guys run yours. do you plumb the regulator first and then the separator downstream from it or the other way around? Or does it really matter?

Put the moisture separator first.
