I did a search, and looked at some other threads, but I still need help.
I bought a used propane hanging heater, that seems to work well. It hangs by two threaded rods. Plenty strong, but it sways. I haven't run the has line or exhaust yet. I know I have to take care of keeping it from swaying. It won't take hardly anything. I could put in a strap to the wall. I could run a thin cable to the ceiling diagonally with a turn buckle. I even wondered if the gas line needs to be flexible, or if I can use solid all the way to the heater, and that would double for stabilization? (I wouldn't ask if I wasn't sure.)
Also, the tank is set and trenched. The installer ran the line up about 4' on the wall outside. I assume that the second supplied regulator has to go that far up? On the outside? Then cauk and use some sort of a trim ring for going through the metal?
The pictures I saw doing the search showed line coming in, then a t up and down with the down leg being capped, and having a shut off. Is this needed? Also, the lp guy left the copper tubing maybe 1/2" open. Is there a special fitting for that for going into the new regulator? And on the black pipe for inside, do I use the special teflon tape? I have not done lp install before, and want to do as much as possible before the installer comes back to leak check and initial fire up.
