Installing kitchen sink question

I'm working on installing a kitchen sink in my shop. Basically what I plan to do is run the drain down from the trap thru the floor and out under the building on the outside. Will I need to install an air vent pipe up thru the ceiling for this or will it work fine without?

You could just use a "cheater vent"

This is the primary issue with a "no-vent" sink. Is there any other plumbing in the shop that has a vent riser in the attic you could tap into?

And where is it going to go to once it is outside?

Is it just going to drain out onto the surface?
If so, you don't need a trap(no swer gas to block) or a vent.

Its not right but if your just gonna let it dump on the ground then it will prob work without a vent.

If its the only drain just use a cheater vent. It will drain fine.

If you want to use a vent system you can get a schreider(sp) valve. It does not require a through roof pipe. They use it alot in kitchen island plumbing. It's like a flapper/ check valve.

There currently in nothing else in the shop to vent to. I am planning on putting in a bathroom sometime later on tho. As far as where it will drain to, I will prolly just run it out into the woods. Its a common practise in this area to run gray water like that if you have enough property for it not to be a nucience to any other neighbors. No problem for me as it's a several hundred feet in any direction to my property line and 1/2 mile to the next house. When I get the bathroom installed I can always hook it into the sewer at that time if I decide I don't like it running into the woods. However, that is unlikely that I will as I work away for several months at a time and have had the water evaporate out of the trap before and allow sewer gas into the building. Not fun.

By cheater vent I assume yall mean a short vent stubbed up into the wall? If so, that is what I will do.

If your just draining it out side you don't need a trap or a vent..

The sink I'm using is already installed in a metal cabinet and has a trap already installed. I'm gonna leave it and go with the cheater vent idea.

Air admittance valve. Common plumbing item. I have one on one of my two vents in the house due to a pipe being in the way during remodeling. Find a place that really sells plumbing, not the big box store that clearances $28 4" Y pipes for $0.51.
