I’m getting ready to start my barn and was curious about a few things when it comes to the metal inside. How did you install your electricity? I would like to keep this all hidden behind the metal but wasn’t sure on what to do about the electrical boxes. Did you just cut squares in the metal where the boxes were going to be or did you run the wires thru a grommet and then flush mount your boxes to the metal? Also once I am done installing the electrical I will be installing R-30 insulation. The barn will have a full ridge vent and soffit vents. Any help or tips would be greatly appreciated. Thanks

When you build your building if you place the wall girts like a book shelf you can put a vertical 2x4 and attach your electrical box to that. I set mine up so the box face will be flush with the interior metal. I also space my boxes so they would not fall on a high rib of the metal. I was able to run my wiring in the space created by the wall girts. The picture may explain it a little better.
