Supplies: I suppose you mean the actual goods to do the job. There are in smaller communities, free publications such as penny-saver, thrifty nickel, etc that have lots of suppliers of metal roofing materials and trim. A national concern is Mueller's, metal mart to name a couple/ Stay away from Lowes/Home Depot for this stuff as they have poor selection.
Flashing/Trim; These same companies will sell you precut flashing, but rather expensive. If you are handy and can make a bending brake, can buy roll and shape yourself and save lots. I have found it best to use 26G material rather than 29 is too thin and will not stand much weight (walking on, etc) . "R" panel is very popular and not that diffucult to deal with. There are dif type screws depending upon wood or metal substructure. Great disparity in pricing on screws, head "colors" and reach. It will save you money to shop your deal before layin the green down.
If you are a mechanical kind of guy, should be no problem. But if you have difficulty finding the drain plug on your vehicles, prob need some help and direction.
The "silver" named in above post is called "Galvalume" which is a coating applied to all surfaces of material to inhibit rusting. There are lots of colors, and also grades. If in the baking process, the material did not turn out as well as hoped, will have less of an expected lifetime.
Now they are getting cute and making the colors with a reflective material to reduce heat introduction into building. If you are going to spend any amount of time in the garage, you might consider insulation in addition to a vapor barrier. Color selection depends upon your desires and needs, depth of pocketbook. Pricing can be either by square foot or running foot. Most common working widths are 36" . The crimp seam stuff is not commonly used in an ag or rural "barn" application as rather pricey.
Installation: For me it seemed to work the best if started in the middle of slope and work both ways to compensate (adjust)for any out of square of the building.Which in my case was a bunch. 16' panel lengths are available..
