I'm insulating a shed and putting up drywall to make it into a workshop. The cathedral roof is half done, and I realize now that I need baffle vents behind the insulation. Ouch!

Any ideas that don't involve ripping out the drywall that's already up?

I'm hoping I can slide proper vents behind the insulation of the drywall, but the roof nails may catch the vent and not let it slide down. How about sliding a perforated pipe down? Or a thin plastic channel stip, like Sturdi-Starter?

Think of anything else that might slide behind the insulated drywall?

Through the soffit vents? So...put in rectangular vents, big enough for the baffles to fit up through? An interesting idea.

I was thinking of shoving a ventilated 2" plastic pipe down, to make an airspace, but I can try to fit a regular baffle vent up through a larger soffit vent. See if that works.
