I installed my man door in December and it was too cold at the time to spray foam it in, so I stuffed insulation between the steel frame cavity and the wall to seal it up enough so I could heat the building all winter.
Now the time has come to finalize the install, but I'm not sure what to do.
Should I remove the insulation and fill the entire void of the door frame with spray foam? I'd guess it would take ~6 cans due to the depth of the frame cavity shape.
Or can I push the insulation right into the cavity and spray foam the outside and inside edges of the frame?
Here's a couple reference pictures. The outside finish is going to be stucco and field stone.
I'm not concerned about the cost, I just want to do it right. Thanks in advance!
