Installing Snap-on Toolbox handle KR-402A?

this is probably a dumb question…

How do I install this handle?

Here are the pieces, my question is where does the second plate go?


Like this? It doesn’t seem like it’s wide enough to fit over the other part without damaging it

Had it backwards. Not rocket science . To anyone wondering it goes in like this:

That was my thought, the screwed in piece takes the force when pulling, the trim piece makes it nice on your hands when pushing.
