Got a quick question, Armstrong Tech Service is closed today.

I'm doing about a 30 tile patch job in a vacant building, heat turned off, running propane torpedo heat to 55ish. Outside temp in New england 35 day, 20's night.

Armstrong S 750 adhesive says to keep the floor at 65 degrees 48 hours before and after the install. What am I looking at happening if I DONT do this? Just a slower cure? no cure? world stops spinning?

This is just a patch along the wall that came up, not the whole 30x40 foot floor.

Thanks in advance

Paul

I just tried something similar in my shop and the glue took a very long time to "tack-up." I went ahead and laid the tiles (which stayed put) but I suspect I'll be seeing popped tiles by the spring.

thanks guys for the replies.

It's down with as much heat as I could throw at it. Room to 58, heat gunned the cement and tiles, buttered them in and they went cold COLD in less than 10 mins :( most seem to be holding for now, some edges popped up but who knows if that was lack of enough glue or not. I suppose I should look forward to doing this again in the spring. :(
