I just had a 40x60 steel building erected and I'm getting ready for the lighting. I have a question about installing exterior wall lights. How do you install junction boxes in areas where there are no girts for attachment? The building is insulated.

Mount the box on the nearest Z brace, whip out of it directly into the back of the fixture ( I'm assuming your using HID wall pack lights) Be sure the fixture will accept 90 degree wire, if not you may have to install 105 degree wire in flexible conduit.

Using the wrong conductors will result in cooked insulation in a wall pack, just a FYI....
