Installing wood dtove fireplace insert

I'm installing a wood burning stove foireplace insert and have come to the tough part - connecting to the chimney. My chimney is a Heatilator double wall 8" inner, 10" outer. My wood burning stove chimney stub is 6". The offset is 13". I'm having a heck of a time figuring out how to separate the chimney sections so that I can adjust lengths and get the chimney over the stove chimney stub. Also finding chimney sections isn't as simple as I expected! Any suggestions other than hiring someone to do the job for thousands I don't have?

Shops that install will usually sell parts and help you figure out the transition/adaptors also.

Are you trying to install a woodburning stove insert into a factory built fireplace?

I highly recommend posting this question on hearth.com. Those guys know their stuff over there when it comes to burning wood.
