I just picked up a Ford Rotunda Choke Tester (= vortex tube) but am not exactly sure how to set it up to use it on the carburetor.

Does anyone have instructions?

When you attach the air hose to the inlet (in the center) you will find that one end gets hot and the other cold. You use it to test the thermostat control on an automatic choke. Simply point the outlet at the thermostat and watch the linkage to see if the butterfly is opening when heated and closing when chilled. It can be used with the engine running or not.

FORD ROTUNDA choke tester LRE-34618

Ford rents a shop at my school as its regional training center, it has a room full of red boxes of Rotunda specialty tools. I can ask the guys overthere if they have the same one as yours. normally the instructions are on the inside of the lid.

I would appreciate that.
