Do you need a certain amount of posts to reply to a thread in the classifieds? Or is there another criteria that I don't meet? Just curious, bottom of every thread in the classifieds says I have insufficient privileges to post. Thanks

I just reread the rules and it indicates that non members can post with a post count of 5. So I don‘t know.

You can't post replies in Classified ads, Too many ads were being bumped up the list because of replies which bypassed the time limits associated with bumping your own ad. If you have questions they want you to use private messages.

Thanks; that makes sense. I sent a PM already. Was more curious than anything.

I think you have to buy your way in there.

It's quite apparent that you don't know. The use of GJ is free and costs nothing more than following the rules. Nobody "has to buy their way" any where.

Well, there is no reason to be a jerk about it, because it is quite apparent that you don’t know what was happening either. I tried on the day he posted and got the same message. This is what was causing the speculation.
Just because you are a Super Moderator does not mean that you know every thing!

Why can't you reply to a classified ad?

We no longer allow replies to classified ads. In order to make a purchase or ask a question, simply send a private message to the seller. You can do so by clicking on the seller's username and then clicking "Send Private Message."

Thanks and enjoy the forum!

I've been busy and like the rest of the moderators here we can't see everything. We do our best to keep the forum running smoothly. If the OP would have Pm'ed me, I could have answered him in a relatively quick manner.

However, making frivolous claims about having to buy your way through this forum aren't necessary and are quite uncalled for.

Not being able to reply to a classified ad has been in place for several years now. So, yes, I did know what was going on with the OPs issue.

I don't claim to know everything but I do help others when asked to the best of my ability when I can. If I can't, I will refer them to Ryan.
