Insulate a Leanto?

My bldg will have a 12' lean on one side, with 10' sides. I am thinking of enclosing the end and back, making it a semi-outdoor workspace and storage of "outdoor equipment" out of elements.

How many of you have your lean simply metal, or reflective barrier or spray foam? My gut is leaning to a simple radiant barrier since it is outside and I just don't want to have it heat up more than outside temps already are.

Thanks,

Jeff

I have a lean-to that I completely enclosed and used spray foam.
The roof is Galvalume, so it's pretty reflective.

Not sure why you'd insulate anything with one or more open ends though... It's gonna reach "ambient" temperature very quickly.

I have a few structures like that. Most with tin roof, and one with asphalt roll roofing.

No insulation - no point unless enclosed. And even then, would want as air gap against the roof and insulation below.
