I have two 8X8' steel four panel uninsulated garage doors w/openers. Condition is pretty good for 15 year old doors.
Everything works well.

Due to cold weather (and hot as they face west) I have decided I want insulated doors.

I can afford any option, but do not want to spend unnecessary money.

Option 1. DIY insulation Kit from Home Center.

Option 2. Professional Install on Insulation Kit, and needed other door adjustments with warranty.

Option 3. Door Company comes and replaces panels with insulated ones.

Option 4. Everything new including the tracks.

Any comments as to the most efficient option?

I had the same problem a couple of years ago and i decided option number 5. Insulating it myself with a sheet of aluminum clad insulation board about one inch or inch and a half thick. I cut the panels using my table saw and placed them with construction adhesive. It works very well and the cost was minimal.
Good Luck.
