insulateing plenums

I'm finishing up my furnace room and the furnace for the machine shop and wifes hobby shop ( separate rooms) will be heated with a 93% goodman propane unit. I'm haveing the plenums built and the question is, whats the best way to insulate the hot air side? Ive thought about duct board but if I do something like that,whats the best way to fasten it to the sheet metal? Other ideas ?

They sell products for this application . Most of us call it duct wrap . There are a few differant ones out there . There is a bubble wrap that has foil on both sides and there is a fiberglass that has a foil on one side . I like the fiberglass as thats what I am used to using .

+1 on the ductwrap, easy to put on, plus it has that pleasant fruity smell lol

They sell duct liner 1" for the inside of the duct can be glued on with spray glue ..used as insulation and sound deadener... then they sell duct wrap 11/2 is std ...you wrap it and tape it with foil tape ... the sell ridgid board for the outside but you need a pin weld gun ... a good idea I seen once was to use 1/2" insulated dropin celing tiles and spray glue them on ...looked cool.

Ive been looking at other peoples and I sorta like the foil faced board w/ foil tape.
