I used blanket insulation cut to fit between the 5ft centers and am very happy with it. Best bang for buck I could find for this style building. It was at about 1500 for my 30x60x12

Looks nice. Is that a versatube building? Are you happy with it? How does the insulation perform? Are you in a cold climate? Sorry for all the questions.

That is a carport style shop. Considering it's only 3in thick I'm very happy with it. My climate is fairly mild in the winter (25-30 degree lows) and pretty hot in the summer (105-110 highs) I installed the insulation in the summer and the temp in the building peaked at 128 degrees on a 105 degree day. After insulation I checked the temp inside the shop on the next 105 degree day and it peaked at 99 degrees. I should note this was at 10 ft from the floor so floor temps will be a bit cooler. This winter I have not recorded the temp swing like I did in warmer weather but the average seems to about 15 degrees warmer inside than outside at any given time.

More insulation would be great but for my purposes it keeps my shop at a workable temp all year and helps enough that heating and cooling on occasion are feasible. Plus I no longer get sweating and all my stuff stays rust free.

Sounds good. What do you use for heat / ac?

I have not used anything yet, at the end on the summer my folks got a 5300 cfm swap cooler for me as a shop warming gift but it never got hot enough to try it. I'm looking into heat right now.

Where did you purchase the blanket insulation you installed? I have a similar building that I am looking for ideas on how to insulate it.

I did not buy direct, the vendor I used went out of business but another guy local to me called and ordered from them. Mine came is nominal sizes and I cut off the excess. He ordered his to width and custom for his bays.
