Insulating Linesets

Is there any special material to help with insulating/protecting linesets outdoors.Multiple minisplits ontop of a flat rooftop.

The vertical run along the wall still looks fresh, almost like the day of install 4 years ago.

The ones on the roof (which sees suns, winter, etc) allday, everyday, some of the insulation looks a bit dried, crack - not YET brittle yet....

I went up to the rooftop today just to give the units a hosedown. Units were clean, not much to hose, but neverhteless, spring chores.

I don't know if they will work on the roof but I just installed a system and used these.

You could also just wrap them with 88 tape, it will last for years.

Sorry. forgot one detail.

The vertical is is using lineset cover.
The topside (flat roof) is just the bare foam armacell coverings..

Replace the failed armaflex and paint it with this.....

Got any history with this. Looks like it will be the ticket - if it will prevent / mItIgate the UV from doing it's thing..

It's used in commercial work all the time, significantly extends the life of the insulation.

In supermarket refrigeration, we use an .020 PVC Jacket on lines installed outdoors. It really holds up. Proto is a brand name. We have used the paint, it just does not look as good.
