We have a older detached one car garage too narrow now to want to park there.
So I will get my stuff out of the basement and have a workshop/retreat. Though there seems to be less and less winter I still better insulate it.The roofing is cedar planks too pretty to cover with a thin mat of something and then tar paper. Which we will strip off (ants live there).
Started surfing for insulation and its and looked like NASA going to the moon.
What is a good-enough exterior insulation. I guess R=12 is enough. I will finish off with shingles that match the house.But what should I put between the planks and the shingles besides 2" rigid foam?
