I have a pole barn with metal siding and am turning a portion of it into an office.

The roof currently consists of: Metal > Condensation blanket (vinyl backed fiberglass insulation ~2 or less in thickness) > Purlins ...

NO VENTILATION aside from closure strips missing so there is a small channel where the metal is raised.

The Siding is Currently: Metal > Tyvek > Wood framing

I am trying to keep the cathedral ceiling so would like to insulation at the roof but don't want to cause problem either.

Any ideas tips or tricks!

I'll try a lot of things, but with something like this, I'd want a pro or an architect involved to eliminate any costly and frustrating 'surprises' when it's all done. Either that, or do a lot of research on similar builds. Good luck-----I wish I had a pole barn!

There are no Eaves so can't add soffit vents unfortunately.

Cut n'cobble sheet foam? You can get it pretty cheap of CL...code may require a fire barrier below though.

I live close to An Arbor as well. There is a guy that does the spray foam insulation locally, his website is foam123 dot com maybe have him give you a quote.

pics? building size? building height? if you have a tall building you can build the office like a mezzanine so that the space above the office is open. insulate the office walls/ceiling
