Insulating question

I have a 24'X24" garage that has no insulation in it at all. It is attached to my two story home and has a insulated door. I would like to insulate the attic with some R-30 but do not know whether to get the faced or unfaced insulation? I do not have a floor drain in the garage and didn't know if the snow that will melt off the car would make a difference.
I usually keep the temp at 55-60 degrees unless I am working out there.
Should I get faced or unfaced?

I always thought Faced when going right up against the drywall - unfaced when adding layers to existing insulation...

If you are in a cold area (you get snow so i guess so, no mention of area, that's important) then a proper vapor barrier is necessary. Faced batts will not cut it especially if your moisture content will get high, as in melting snow off cars. With only faced batts you run the risk of the batts getting damp and losing R value. To add to this once they are damp they never dry out.

If you have a vapor barrier then unfaced is fine. If you have no vapor barrier then another option is neccessary like spray foam or foam panels sealed and taped.
